First arrival in the Russian Federation

1. Migration registration.

In accordance with the requirements of the Federal Law "On Migration Registration of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in the Russian Federation", the following procedure is established for passport, visa and migration registration of foreign citizens. A foreign citizen arriving in the Russian Federation is obliged to provide the following set of documents to office No. 347/1 (22/1 Bolshevikov prospect) within 1 (one) day (from the date of arrival):

-passport copies – 2 (1 copy of all pages with any stamps, visas, etc.);
- migration card with a border crossing mark;
- migration card copy – 2.;
- 1 photo, size 3x4;
- application for migration registration, completed in accordance with the university requirements (office 345/1). You will be assisted in filling out the application in office 345/1.
- visa (for citizens with a visa regime of stay);
- certificate from the student campus about accommodation in the SPbSUT dormitory;
- certificate of absence of HIV infection (only for initial entry).

IMPORTANT! For first-year students- an enrollment order is required, for senior students- a transfer order is required.

A foreign citizen is required to obtain a health insurance policy in office 347/1.

For foreign citizens who arrived at SPbSUT to study under the state direction of the Ministry of Education and Science from other regions of the Russian Federation, it is necessary to additionally submit to office 347/1.

- a letter of consent from the university where you previously studied;
- a ticket (to confirm the date of arrival in St Petersburg);
- a multiple-entry visa, the validity of which must be at least 45 days before it expires;
- the original tear-off part of the notification form on registration for migration purposes with a stamp from the Department of Migration Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation from which the foreign citizen arrived;
- an application for registration for migration purposes, completed in accordance with the requirements of the university (office 345/1). You will be assisted in filling out the application in office 345/1;
- a copy of the state direction from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

2. Medical examination.

3. Fingerprint registration.

ATTENTION!

A foreign citizen is obliged to issue a fingerprint registration in the coming days after entering the Russian Federation

Foreign full-time and part-time students (except citizens of the Republic of Belarus) are required to do the following within 90 days from the date of arrival in the Russian Federation:

- mandatory state fingerprinting;
- photographing;
- medical examination.

You must personally go to the address: Krasnogo Tekstilshchika St., 10-12 lit. B (entrance No. 2 from the courtyard) and provide an identity document.

According to the results, a foreign student receives:

- a document confirming that fingerprinting and photographing have been completed;
- a certificate of acceptance of medical documents.

The document and certificate must be submitted to the International Cooperation Department (office 345/1).

A foreign citizen must undergo fingerprint registration once every 10 years

If foreign citizens fail to comply with the obligations to undergo mandatory state fingerprinting, photographing and medical examination, the period of stay in the Russian Federation is reduced.

4. Extension of stay for foreign citizens with a visa regime.

A foreign citizen continuing his/her studies at the University is required to appear in office 347/1 45 days before the end of the period of stay (visa and migration registration) and provide the following documents:

passport, the validity of which must not expire earlier than 1.5 years from the date of commencement of the extended visa. The presence of two blank pages in the passport is mandatory;
- a copy of the passport with its validity - 3 pcs. (2 copies of all pages with any stamps, visas, etc.);
- migration card;

- a copy of the migration card - 2;

- a fingerprint registration;
- an application for extension of stay, completed in accordance with the requirements of the university (office 345/1);
- voluntary health insurance policy;
- a copy of the order or an extract from the order on enrollment in SPbSUT (for students studying in the state direction of the Ministry of Education and Science), certified by the Education and Medical Council (office 345/1);
- a copy of the training contract or a copy of the state direction of the Ministry of Education and Science, certified by the Education and Medical Council (office No. 345/1);
- a certificate of absence of HIV infection (only for initial entry);
- a certificate from the student campus about accommodation in the SPbSUT dormitory;
- a valid migration registration and its copy (for students living at private addresses);
- a receipt for payment of the state fee for a multiple-entry visa;
- a photograph (3x4 color or black and white).

Dear students, before submitting documents to extend your stay in the Russian Federation, make sure that you have no academic or financial debts (tuition and dormitory fees) !

ATTENTION!

A foreign citizen with a visa regime of stay who has not timely extended the period of stay on the territory of the Russian Federation is considered to be illegally staying on the territory of the Russian Federation and bears personal responsibility in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

5. Extension of stay for foreign citizens with a visa-free stay regime

A foreign citizen continuing his/her studies at SPbSUT is required to appear in office No. 347/1 45 days before the expiration of the migration registration period and provide the following documents to extend the period of temporary stay:

- passport;
- a passport copy – 2 (1 copy of all pages with any stamps, visas, etc.);
- migration card and its copy;
- application for extension of stay, completed in accordance with the university requirements (office 345/1);
- medical policy;
- copy of the order or an extract from the order on enrollment in SPbSUT (for students studying in the state direction of the Ministry of Education and Science), certified by the Education and Medical Council (office 345/1);
- copy of the studying contract or copy of the state direction of the Ministry of Education and Science, certified by the Education and Medical Council (office No. 345/1);
- certificate of absence of HIV infection (only for initial entry);
- certificate from the student campus on residence in the SPbSUT dormitory;
- current migration registration and its copy (for students living at private addresses).
