Invitations for foreign citizens

Purpose of entry: study, courses, internship, postgraduate studies at SPbSUT.

The following documents are required to issue an invitation:A photocopy of the invitee’s passport, the validity of which must not expire earlier than 1.5 years from the date of opening of the visa to the Russian Federation ( you can send it to send to dmo@sut.ru ):

  • Application for an invitation addressed to the Head of the International Cooperation Department indicating:

 - full name;
 - date of birth;
- citizenship (nationality);
- country of birth (country, city);
- country of permanent residence (country, region);
- residential address (full);
- expected date of entry;
- place of visa receipt (country, city);
- place of work;
- workplace address (full);
- position;
- passport details.

Attention!

The invitation is issued within 45 days from the date of submission of the application. The term of registration is determined by the registration procedure established by the Department of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in St  Petersburg and the Leningrad region.

  • Payment for the invitation and, if necessary, sending it abroad is made at the expense of the invited person;
    After receiving the invitation, the applicant must contact the nearest consular office of the Russian Federation, where they will issue him a visa indicating the institution - St Petersburg State University of Telecommunications. The data in the visa must fully correspond to the data specified in the invitation;
  • After receiving a visa, you need to buy an air ticket and send it to dmo@sut.ru . The staff of the International Cooperation Department will contact you to clarify the details of your arrival in St  Petersburg;

Foreign citizens entering the Russian Federation for the purpose of "study", "graduate study", "courses" must arrive on a student visa (ordinary student visa), obtained on the basis of an invitation from SPbSUT. The data specified in the invitation must fully correspond to the data of the visa obtained in the consular offices of the Russian Federation.

Foreign citizens in the Russian Federation are equal before the law, regardless of any conditions. Your use of rights and freedoms must not prejudice the interests of the Russian Federation, the legitimate interests of citizens of the Russian Federation and others. Foreign citizens are obliged to comply with the Constitution of the Russian Federation and its legislation.
