The Agreement of cooperation was signed by the Rector of SPbSUT Ruslan Kirichek and the Director of the Representation Office of the Center in Saint-Petersburg and Leningrad Region Igor Sumarokov.
The Agreement will facilitate promoting the University’s image in the academic community in the countries of the Balkan Peninsula and the Russian higher education among the young of the Balkan.
“Owing to the cooperation with the Center SPbSUT will get the opportunity to enhance the international activity, boost up the number of international students, attract perspective partnership in the field of telecommunication and digital technologies”, noted the Head of International Cooperation Department of SPbSUT.
The history of interrelation between Russia and the countries of the Balkan Peninsula goes back centuries. The religious and ethnocultural kinship of the Slavic peoples of Russia and the Balkans has always been and remains the major connecting link in the history of relations between the states. The location of the countries of the Balkan Peninsula has also a significant importance. The Balkans, like Russia, are a multinational, multi-confessional region, and that is largely determines the commonality of interests.
