Visit of the delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to SPbSUT

The delegation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in St Petersburg visited our University on February 21. Consul General Alisher Babayev, Consul Ravshan Bakhriddinov, representative of Uzbekistan Airways Azizbek Sidikov and coordinator for work with youth of Uzbekistan Timur Yusupov visited the University.

Rector Ruslan Kirichek, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and International Cooperation Nina Zhuravleva and Head of International Cooperation Department Irina Karimova welcomed the high-ranking guests.

The delegation was introduced to the history of the University, its main achievements, cooperation with universities, industry enterprises and state institutions of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Alisher Babayev highly appreciated activities of the University, material and technical base, as well as scientific, sports and educational activities for students.

An information and educational meeting with foreign students from Uzbekistan was organized for colleagues. The meeting touched upon a number of important and relevant topics for SPbSUT students. The students had the opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions on cooperation with the Consulate, holding youth events for compatriots and strengthening cooperation between  two countries.

The guests were invited to the Museum of SPbSUT. The Center celebrated its tenth anniversary on February 21, the day of the 135th anniversary of the birth of Mikhail Bonch-Bruevich.

Then the delegation joined the celebration of Maslenitsa – a traditional event from the Student Council.
