SPbSUT and Myanmar are developing cooperation

Consul General of Myanmar in St Petersburg Aung Pe Thet and Deputy Chairman of the Committee on External Relations of St Petersburg - Head of the Department of Information and Relations with International Organizations Vyacheslav Kalganov visited SPbSUT on March 28.

The guests were welcomed by Rector Ruslan Kirichek, First Vice-Rector-Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Albert Abilov, Vice-Rector for Digital Transformation Alexey Zaitsev, Advisor to the Rector for Interaction with Public Authorities Stanislav Danilin and Acting Head of International Cooperation Department Adam Ahmed Abdallah Ishag.

"Our University is the largest university of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. Our programs are aimed at training specialists in the field of telecommunications who are able to develop equipment and work on it. There are also many foreigners among our students, including 6 graduate students from Vietnam", - Rector noted.

The parties discussed the prospects of cooperation. Mr. Consul General expressed his intention to send students from Myanmar to SPbSUT for Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. He is also ready to launch inter-university cooperation in the field of academic mobility of students and teachers.

A tour of the University was organized for the guests. The delegation visited the leading laboratories and departments.

The guests were told about the possibilities of studying at the Preparatory Course of Russian as a Foreign Language before entering the main educational programs.

Mr. Consul General thanked the University management for organizing the visit to SPbSUT and expressed interest in further cooperation.
