International Student Cub “Signal” continues to work during the student holidays: activists organized two events dedicated to the culture of the Slavs for foreign students.
Foreign students got acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of the Eastern Slavs, talked together about ancient trade between the countries, about writing and holidays at the meeting of the Signal club on February 1.
International students with the Head of the Preparatory Department Natalia Fursova and other students, visited the Ethnographic Museum, a unique place representing the rich culture of the peoples of Russia and other countries. The excursion took place on February 8.
The students got acquainted with the traditions and customs of the peoples, saw national costumes, household items and religious objects. The students especially liked the writing systems of different countries, amulets and ancient weapons.
“I discovered the world of the peoples of Russia. I really liked their costumes and houses. And the clothes of the Mordovians are similar to the clothes of the Berbers!” said student Sirin after the event.
Excursions and events are organized with the support of the Rosmolodezh grant. This is not only an exciting activity, but also an opportunity to expand knowledge about other cultures and understand their importance in the modern world.
Introducing foreigners to Russian culture helps them better understand the country of the language they are learning and quickly adapt to life in the country.
